Saturday April 26 Road Ride (Epic)

The main feature of this ride as the name suggests is a long stretch on HW1 where we’ll be able to paceline on perfect tarmac and enjoy a tailwind coming off the ocean from the Northwest. To get there, we’ll head North out of Los Gatos through Saratoga – taking Alpine and Skyline through the hills into Pescadero where we can have a pit stop to grab snacks and fill bottles. From there we’ll take the scenic coastal section into Santa Cruz where we can top up bottles once again. We’ll grind our way up Granite Creek and Mt Charlie before ripping down Old Santa Cruz Highway into Los Gatos.
This ride will be more an Epic than a Hammerfest. Let’s work together and watch the miles fly by. Let’s shoot for an elapsed time in the neighborhood of 6.5hrs.
