Eureka Canyon is a fun, pretty ride, that’s also very efficient. We’ve figured out the tricky route and rest stops, so you don’t have to. It’s an example of a ride you aren’t likely to do on your own, but with the LGBRC Saturday Ride just prepare a little bit, and you’ll be good.
The weather promises to be perfect for any outdoor activity including suffering on the climbs of Santa Cruz mountains.
Key to a brisk ride is eschewing redundant regroups. Know the route, it is not that hard, it is wasteful to continually wait up for riders that we fear “missed the turn”. They oughtn’t have missed that turn. If regroup we must, better in places with water and/or BR.

- Top of LGCT at Lexington
- Top of Old Santa Cruz, at Summit
- Anna Jean Cummings “Blue Balls” Park (water/BR)
- In Corralitos, at Market and Sausage Co. (Privy, water, store)
- The Summit Store (NOT at Mt Bache Rd and Highland Way). (Privy, store)
